The Texas Southern University MyTSUWeb housing portal has a step-by-step application process.

In order to successfully complete the application and room/apartment selection process, students are encouraged to read and follow directions on each screen in the portal. Please keep in mind that the portal will only show you floor plans and housing options which you are eligible for (i.e. based on your student classification.

Admissions:
Obtain an admissions letter with full admittance to Texas Southern University (TSU). Your admission will be documented with an assigned TSU ID Number (ex. T00-X-X). Visit www.applytexas.org

Registration:
All students who have an interest in living on campus must be registered for academic courses with the university. University provision mandate the requirement of 12 hours as an enrolled student.

Financial Aid:
The free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) must be completed at www.fafsa.ed.gov and requisite documentation submitted to the TSU Office of Student Financial Assistance. Financial aid must be awarded prior to the inclusion of financial aid in the analysis of the student’s ability to pay. Qualifying students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours to receive the maximum eligibility in financial assistance.

Health Center/Immunization:
Students will not be able to apply for housing until their meningitis shot is submitted to the TSU Health Center. Immunization must be taken within 5 years and 10 days before moving in. Students can submit the record online at http://tsu.medicatconnect.com/.

 

Step I.
Review "REQUIREMENTS".

Step II.
Review the “Residential Communities Rates and Plans” to view room types & rates.

Step III.
Click “Housing Application” and select the appropriate Academic Year 2024-2025 Freshmen or Upperclassmen.

Step IV.

  • The payment of a $200.00 non-refundable Administrative Fee is required to start the housing application process and will be available to pay within 48 hours excluding weekends.
  • Once the $200.00 non-refundable Administrative Fee is paid and processed, The lease acknowledgment email will be sent to the applicant's email address instructing them to log back into the housing application and sign the lease agreement.
  • Further instructions will be sent to the student's email after the lease agreement has been signed.



Residential Life & Housing Accommodations for Service Animals and Emotions Support Animals

Housing Accommodations will be at Lanier West for the 2022-2023 academic year. Students must complete an online housing application and pay the required application fee. Please contact the Student Accessibility Services Office (SASO) to start the process.
